Evan hanging out with Orlando.. connecting through music…

This was fun… we were on a short break inside the church, maybe even having lunch, when I looked up and saw Evan from our team, hanging out with Orlando, one of the young people living at La Quinta. It was a beautiful exchange. Photo not the greatest.. but not too bad for a disposable, and through screens and iron works.

Much in life is fleeting, here are some such moments from our Nicaragua trips…

Fleeting  –

we were ambushed while attempting to ambush!

fearless pastors, drenched... surely a priceless moment

soaked with water and fun. emotions of all sorts on the faces

a moment from fleeting memories – another place, another time.

Life itself seems often so fleeting – it’s but a breath, constantly changing in motion…

La Quinta Esperanza and youth group dance and drama ministry. Three foremost all siblings. This was a beautiful ministry while it lasted. And the looks of joy on their faces in the midst of this farewell performance for our group, caused me to choose this photo

In a moment, a look can be captured… this one makes me smile. It’s fun to be in the right place to catch the unrehearsed… often a fleeting moment missed in the big picture…

Oh how the littlest one's delighted in the puppets.. as if they were alive - and the joy on the face of one who brought joy ...

And sadly too often fleeting, friendships… this one precious but truly fleeting, though still dear to my heart… they made the best of friends before the trip was over… but things in places like this can change like the ocean tide

This is my husband with an appropriate sign. We were in Nicaragua in a couple of barrios giving out rice and beans. His group was swarmed upon. The shirt was from a Habitat Humanity 'Building on Faith' project. At the time he was the site supervisor for our local affiliate. Now he is the construction manager.
