Once again, I’ve not been around much.

Every time I think about this site, I’m at a loss, either of for words or direction. I guess I’m still seeking. So much has changed since, and even while I was in Nicaragua. Some of it I’m still sorting through. Some of it is just a ‘hang on for the ride’, until it comes to a stop. And no, it’s not just applied to the site…   🙂

I’m still not sure what this site is supposed to look like. I just know it’s not what it was before. And hey, it’s hard to tear down something you put a lot of time and effort into. And in the same breath, in order to walk in what’s new, one must be willing to lay down and let go of what is old.

And, I’ve just not had time to sit and write and all the creative kind of things I like to do here. It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, some of that obvious and tangible – like doors shut, doors open, a re-ordering of things, and some separations, life decisions by others.

And I would love to have come back and posted gobs of photos, but since my camera went hay-wire, I didn’t get to take any, at least not with my camera. I’ll try next to time to grab a few that were taken and sent to me.

For now, it’s back to work. I’ve much to catch up on, especially since the weather decided to go nuts last weekend, between days without essential services and now more just shoveling – well.. time to get back to business.

I hope you all are having a great new year this far. Hard to believe it’s mid-way through February already, with Spring fast on it’s heels. Saw my first robin yesterday.. love it!!!

Blessings to you all. And for those of you also in the transition trenches, hang in there, something’s on its way!

That sure was quick.  About this time 1 week ago I was climbing into my own bed after a very long day of travel, a stop on the way from the airport, a bit of dinner and hello to the young-ins.

1 week at home already.  After 3 months of a whirlwind of preparations, 25 days just came and went, way too quickly.

There is still much for me to process; still collecting my thoughts. I still have a project to work on for down there, which thanks to technologies I can actually do from here. But… thanks to those technologies, I see the photos, and have already had contact with a few of the young people there, and oooooooh I just really miss them already.

This trip was different than the others. There was more time to connect, and become a part of something. Not just the ministries, but the flow of life there. It’s amazing just how quickly we humans can adapt to our surroundings and weave ourselves into the fabric.

Disengaging – not so easy. Oh, so not easy, or even desirable, though necessary. Oddly enough, try as I did to ‘let go’, the longer this week has gone, the more I’m missing everyone, and the routines and flows of the days. Just taking walks into the market on any given day could be an adventure.

But now, especially since Thanksgiving is over and the left overs are about gone, it really is time to re-engage here. But nothing seems normal, nor is there really a desire for it to be. Sometimes the change of perspective is good, and we don’t want to lose it – it’s like losing a part of yourself that is new and precious. Don’t want to return to the same old, same old. What would be the point then?

It really does sound like a cliche, but we go on these trips with every intention of being a blessing, just to come back with so much more than we ever took with us to begin with…

It´s a new day! I got the chance to do something I´ve wanted to do for years. Pastor Glenn and I pretty much raided the music store over in Diriamba. Just some rather small but necessary items and a couple of not necessarily needed like a recorder (flute) and a set of percussion eggs. Fun all the same. And now the keyboard for the restart of El Shaddai – the primarily English speaking church – is hooked up to the system.. but oy… we walked away with out the mic stand!!

The room is getting set up a bit more.. yeah. Cords running everywhere are now somewhat contained. And the sound system tweeked a bit so that no one´s ears are blown out!! Now to work on an altar area….

Well off to my room to continue with what I´d started this morning… a good teaching and a sketch for an idea for Lynne then some study and prayer time. Pappa Glenn so kindly brought the Strong´s and another bible with a good concordance…

Hasta Luego!
